TCAS: Tacis Cities Award Scheme | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Trainings for TCAS applicantsMarch 15, 2006In order to assist municipalities in preparation of the application for the Tacis Cities Award Scheme (TCAS), the support project, implemented by Royal Haskoning and the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe, organises the training sessions in each of the eligible countries. Interested municipalities will have an opportunity to learn more about the TCAS scheme, other funding opportunities provided by the European Union, as well as get training in preparation of the project proposal and application form. The training will last 3 days, including mainly building practical skills through exercises and work in small groups. The participants are invited to come with their preliminary project ideas; they will be able to prepare to large extent the application form during the training. In order to get qualified to the training, municipalities should fill in the questionnaire. Information included in the questionnaire will serve for better preparation of the training as well as for selection of the trainees as the number of available places is limited. The criteria for selection of trainees include:
The questionnaire should be returned to the local coordinator of the project in relevant country. All costs, including training, accommodation and travel costs are covered by the TCAS support project. Please note that sending the application does not mean that you have already qualified for the training, you will receive the relevant information from the coordinator of the project at least seven days prior to the training.
